COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
Cline Elementary, Friendswood Tx

February 16^th , 2010

Welcome and Introduction:  Margo called the meeting to order at 7:08pm.  Those present include Margo, Mark M, Samuel, and John.

Previous Minutes: There was a correction to the previous minutes which corrected the dates of the Summer Camp. The minutes were approved as corrected.

Treasury Report: Report given by Denise. The total in the account at the end of January was $10,703.95. The amount in the Scout accounts is $1,193.16. The troop has paid for$1,098 for recharter. The troop also paid $200 for neckerchiefs to give to the scouts who had not received one. The committee approved the purchase of 20 slides and $70 for the trailer registration. The Treasurer’s report was approved.

The senior patrol leader did not attend the Committee Meeting.

The Calendar was discussed next. The Pine needle cleanup at the KofC Hall was postponed due to weather. The troop will try to reschedule this with the Knights of Columbus. Mark will try and schedule a campout at Quianta Beach for April. The troop will be selling flag subscriptions on Sunday April 11^th. A Swimming Merit Badge class will also be scheduled before the Canoe Trip in May. The Swimming MB is required to attend or an adult must attend with the Scout.

27^th Blue and Gold Banquet. The Troop helps the Pack with this event. The Troop is not expecting a large number of Webelos to cross over this year.

Action items:

1. Tim Vance will contact Kathleen Gray about being Camping Coordinator.

2. Troop Display in the church.

a. Tim Vance mentioned putting the Eagle plaques on the wall. The committee tabled this until Tim can present his idea to the Committee.

b. Johnson volunteered to reorganize the display case.

c. Would like to honor the Scouts who have received Eagle Palms. Denise will look for ideas in the Scout Shop.

The next meeting is Tuesday March 23^rd . The location will be announced later.
