TROOP 452 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
December 10, 2003
Call to order: Meeting was called to order by the Scoutmaster, Alan Valicek Members were welcomed.
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from November were approved.
Reports:
· Scoutmaster: Alan reported, he and Henry Valdez will attend Wood Badger training. The troop has set funds aside for the training. Training will be held March 4-7 and April 1-4, 2004 at Camp K.

Treasurer:
psalm ordener reported account balance of $4336.80, with $433.20 in camp accounts.
Training Coordinator: John Monnat reported Winter Fest will be Saturday, January 10, 2004. Upcoming training opportunities are Train the Trainer, High Adventure training. Information for the National Jamboree is available. District Banquet is January 30, 2004. John reported the District Roundtable meetings have changed to the second Thursday of the month. Next Roundtable will be Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Pearland Methodist Memorial Fellowship Center, 1900h. Troop 452 Committee meetings will be rescheduled to Wednesday night, following the District Roundtable.
· COR: Randy Ordener reported Alan and himself will meet with Fr. Skip and Ken Shores, Saturday, Dec. 10, 2003 at 1000h. Randy will assume the Committee position of Chartered Organization Representative.
· Fundraising: Henry Valdez stated he has the flags for the flag fundraiser.
· Equipment: Greg Steele reported the troop’s flags need to be retired. Funds for new flags and flagpoles were approved by the Committee.
· Senior Patrol Leader: Sheldon Randal reported the Court of Honor went well. The missing PA system was discussed. Once it is returned, Drew Kachnick offered to keep up with it. Sheldon reported on the completion of the Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge presented by Karen Frank. He stated it was a good presentation and they had many completions.
· Calendar: Highway Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2003, at 0900h. Scouts are to meet at the McDonald’s at the corner of FM 518 and FM 528. It will take approximately 2 hours and scouts will receive service hours. Scouts will also sell some First Aid kits for fundraising. For the Monday, Dec 15, 2003 meeting the scouts will go caroling. Winter Camp at Camp Karankawa is Dec 26-31. Troop meeting for Dec 22, 2003 will be to plan for Winter Camp, and PLC meeting. The calendar is updated frequently, please check at troops website for changes.
· Discussion: Mark Manusov volunteered to lead scouts in First Class emphasis. He will work with present and new scouts toward completion of First Class.
